What to expect at your first visit to Church House Dental Practice

Our door is always open to new patients from across Shoreham, Portslade, Lancing, Worthing and Southwark, so please join us for a comprehensive and thorough new patient consultation.

The first people you will meet will be our friendly reception team, who will ask you to complete a medical form and provide details about your dental history.

On your first visit, which usually lasts between 30 and 40 minutes and costs £100, you will experience the individual care and customer service of which we are very proud. We will spend time getting to know you and discussing your personal needs to determine exactly what you would like from your visit and to answer any queries you may have.

During your first consultation, we will carry out a thorough dental examination and take any necessary x-rays. We will explain your options and help you understand and be involved in looking after and improving your smile.

We ask for a £20 deposit to confirm your first appointment, which will then be deducted from your treatment costs.

To complement our general dentistry treatments, our hygienists provide professional teeth cleaning and polishing to assist your oral hygiene practices at home.

Informed patient consent is our priority. This means that should you require any future treatment, you will always be informed of all options, their advantages and disadvantages, and the price. We want you to be fully apprised.

No need to fear injections with The Wand

At Church House Dental Practice we try to make your dental visits as calm and stress-free as possible. Often patients can worry about local anaesthetic injections. Not our patients!

We have invested in a new computer-controlled anaesthetic delivery system that works more effectively than traditional syringes, resulting in a more pleasant experience, no pain and no fat lip. You might not even know you’ve had an injection!

The Wand can be used on adults and children and it is so precise that your dentist can numb-up just one tooth. The result is no numbness of the tongue, cheek or lip, allowing you to return to your daily routine able to eat, drink and smile.

Nervous patients are especially welcome
